I’m always searching for practical fashion – my hunt for a stylish ‘croakie’ has officially ended as I discovered Veronica DeOre via one of my favorite bloggers, Sarah Tucker.

I introduce “Statement Eyewear Jewelry” – adorably styled and beautifully executed. Go from day to night as these beauties become statement necklaces.

Hand-crafted with care and designed by Heather Davis. I ordered this gem and am LOVING it!

Here are a few images of her pieces – hopefully you will enjoy, too!

You may know Warby Parker for their fabulous designer frames! Well, coming from an avid eyeglass connoisseur, I have to say their new collection for Fall is so chic! I’m especially loving the clear frames – I might need those for my next pair! Imagine those with my Mac Russian Red signature lip color – so divine! I wanted to share my top picks from the new collection and pair them with my favorite jewels from kate spade new york. Don’t you just love these combinations?

Style Crush : New Fall Collection from Warby Parker

Jewels | Eyeglasses

I adore Warby Parker’s company – here are a few details on their quality and history.

Warby Parker eyeglasses are crafted on one of the finest production lines in the world, with custom acetate sourced from a family-owned company.

Acetate eyeglasses

Their frames are made from custom cellulose acetate produced for Warby Parker by a 150-year old Italian family-owned company. Unlike plastic, cellulose acetate can be produced in brilliant colors and patterns; it also retains its shape and sheen with age. They use some of the sturdiest hinges on the market to produce superior durability.

Titanium eyeglasses

Each pair features titanium sourced from Japan and temples made from their signature custom acetate, as well as non-rocking spring hinges sourced from France. A custom nose pad offers a soft, anti-slip fit that is virtually pressure-free. For a flawless finish, they’ve used an innovative Ion Plating technique that produces unparalleled durability, strength, and color richness.

Lenses

All of their lenses are coated twice with one of the best anti-reflective coatings on the market. In addition, they receive an anti-scratch coating to help maintain superior vision through everyday use. They also offer digital free-form progressives lenses in either optical and sun wear frames.

Warby Parker eyeglasses start at $95, with free shipping and free returns. For every pair of glasses sold, a pair is distributed to someone in need.

And there you have it! Check out all of the new shapes and colors – take the plunge and go bold. I love making a statement!

Have fun! I went to a conference at the Jacob Javits center once years ago and had such a great time.

Be sure to try Brazil Brazil on 46th Street while you’re there!

A little inspiration from one of my favorite style icons.

Diane Von Furstenberg Quote

There are so many inspiring women in business, fashion and art – one that I am often inspired by is the infamous Diane von Furstenberg. Not only did her creation of the perfect wrap dress make women everywhere feel beautiful, but the inspiring story, constant motivation and positive demeanor has made her into a true icon. Diane is a great example of how women should grow more confident and comfortable with themselves as they become older and wiser. I look back at myself 1 year ago, 5 years ago and even 10 years ago – I really didn’t know myself yet. Even though I still have some growing to do, I am thankful to feel so confident and comfortable with myself. As I grow older, learn new things and gain new experiences, I learn to trust myself more. Trust my gut. This is definitely hard to do at a young age…I discover more about myself everyday. I do believe being an only child has had a very positive effect on me. Not only has it made me comfortable in my own skin, but it has also made me very comfortable spending time alone, reflecting and entertaining myself with my muses, interests and passions. I have never had the urge to constantly surround myself with people – I’m perfectly fine spending time alone and often prefer it when I need to relax and rejuvenate. I believe this is important for everyone – to trust what YOU love, not love what everyone else is loving. Rather than focusing on what others have, we should focus on what makes us happy and unique. What makes US special and not like everyone else. In a world of changing trends and styles, find what makes you smile and have the confidence to love it no matter what anyone else says or thinks. Love YOU for YOU – life will be so much easier.
