Emily'sGuideToSavannah

Hopefully you caught our feature in Peachy the Magazine not long ago. If you didn’t, we’ll bring our guide to Savannah right to you, dear readers! In this series we’ll let you know Emily’s favorite places to eat, to stay, to play, and shop right here in Savannah, GA.

EmilysGuidetoPlay

It’s no secret and no surprise that Savannah is a tourist destination all year round. In fact, it feels like a dream to call this vacation spot a home! Here are the favorite hot spots or hot ideas that you definitely need to be acquainted with.

– Picnic on Forsyth Park with the Savannah Picnic Company – What could be more fun than a pop-up picnic that you literally don’t have to lift a finger for? This company is the epitome of charm! I never even knew something like this existed, and now I can’t stop recommending it. (Find more info on their website by clicking here.)

– Pure Barre Savannah – Whether you’re a local or visiting, the best workout in all of Savannah is definitely Pure Barre! Located on Derenne and Abercorn this studio will work you from head to toe with the best instructors around. I’m warning you, you’ll be hooked right away. The best part is, it’s a low impact workout that absolutely anyone can do. Schedule your first class here!

– Savannah Slow Ride – We won’t dance around the subject (though dancing does complete any fete!), Savannah likes to party. Grab a group of friends and hop on an intimate 14 person bike and hit up all the best sites. You can take it from monument to monument, or bar to bar. Up to you… and it will be one of your favorite adventures SAV has to offer.

– Top Deck at the Cotton Sail Hotel – Unlike other rooftop venues in the city, this particular venue is going to give you a view of the river and the picturesque Talmadge Bridge that takes you to South Carolina. Sip cocktails on the sofas outside on the deck and wait for the sun to set – you’ll love the photo ops!
Where are your favorite spots to play around town? We’d love to know! Maybe we can add it to our guide. Everyone loves a local’s inside scoop.

PicksMomEmily

Emily and Lillian spent their time at The Shoppe today to share their favorites in your gift for Mom! They covered fashion, function, AND decor. A triple threat, no doubt.

Emily Lillian

Emily McCarthy signature pattern scarves are so unique, and so perfect for almost every occasion. Dress them up or dress them down – the great thing is, you know no one will have the same accessory as you do (or in this case, as your mom does). A fun hair accessory, like the Rhino pin pictured here, can add signature style to any ensemble.

Stationery with a signature print has a life of its own! There’s never a shortage of love notes to write, thank you cards to send out, or ‘thinking of you’ sentiments to share with friends.

Finally, doesn’t Mom love a good read? Monograms for the Home is a conversation piece that belongs on any coffee table.

Find everything available for purchase at The Shoppe! (Lillian not for sale 😉

Y’all know Meredith by now, right? She’s one of the busy bodies behind the Shoppe that helps us all keep our heads on straight. We don’t know what we’d do without her, and we were excited to find out what she would choose for her Shoppe Mother’s Day picks.

We can tell she covered all the bases with her gift! First and foremost, she kept mom stylish with a pair of new tassel earrings from local jewelry designer Lauren Milmine. (The striking emerald green just screams Emily McCarthy Shoppe, no?!) The slate cheese server from the gift bar was a quick grab, and the custom “S” looks like she pre-ordered it when she didn’t have to. (Sly, Meredith!) Finally, there is nothing that you can’t trust to a spot cheetah lucite tray. Odds? Ends? Sure.

As mentioned, everything shown here is ready to grab and go! You’ll be best in show on Sunday, we promise.

PicksforMomHostess

The hostess with the mostess might be a cliche term, but that’s just what Ashley is to our shoppe! Not only is she a fabulous hostess, but her picks will make her mom one, too. What was great is when she was asked what she’d put together for mom, she was able to pull from different areas of the shoppe and it all worked together beautifully. Coastal style knows no bounds, y’all!

Pineapple candle holders were the perfect table setting to go with our palm wine glasses (snag a set of 2 for just $28)! A decorative ice bucket will take your mom from the woman who has almost everything to truly, the woman who has everything!

IMG_9343

Pineapple candle holders are $30 each for the medium and $42 for the large. We love to mix and match the sizes for a truly special table display.

IMG_9344

A full set of 4 palm wine glasses will retail at $56, or as mentioned earlier a set of 2 is only $28 – but we know there’s no budget when shopping for mom 😉 These are great for spring and summer cocktails with friends!IMG_9345

The missing piece to your mom’s kitchen, a decorative ice bucket. In stock at the shoppe and retailing for $50.

And, of course, when you already have the gift but need the wrapping… we’re there for that, too. Our single sheets of wrapping paper will be the unique way to present a gift to a unique woman. We can do a personalized gift wrap for a small additional charge, and we’re more than happy to do it!

Stop by soon, Mother’s Day won’t wait!

PicksforMomHostess

As you know it would be impossible to run the shoppe without our dear hostess and shoppe girls. They make the party even more fabulous than it could be otherwise. What’s great about them is that they know the products inside and out, and they know what gifts people want to receive.

Today we asked Kelly what she thinks her mom would love for Mother’s Day! No personalization needed, she found items that easy to grab, wrap, and go.

Our adorable bow wine glasses with gold trim were a no brainer. They’re feminine and special, for when mom has her girlfriends over. Kelly also didn’t hesitate when she picked up the shoppe favorite, Cheers napkins. This classic was given new life recently when we created them in the beautiful light coral color. Tis the season for coral, and you know mom will love it.

Get a set of the glasses for $30 and add the napkins for just $10 more. Under $50 AND Mom will adore it? You might just be the favorite child this year!

Thanks for your picks, Kelly!
