In celebration of the upcoming holiday season, I wanted to share a recipe for Snowball Cookies. My dear friend and fav calligrapher, Bride Whelan, treats us to these every year!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
2 sticks unsalted butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cups ground pecans
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
DIRECTIONS
Cream 2 sticks of butter with 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Add Vanilla, Pecans, Salt and Flour. Mix until blended smooth. Refrigerate dough for at least 2 hours. Using a melon baller, scoop out balls to 1 inch width. Place on parchment paper and bake for 12-14 minutes at 350 degrees. (bottoms should be golden brown). While cooked snowballs are still warm, roll in powdered sugar.
Makes 25-30.
It is amazing how much pure joy and unconditional love a child can bring into your lives. We are feeling so incredibly blessed to have this wonderful baby boy and little piece of heaven above. God is SO good and our lives are complete now. This past year is one we will never forget as we have cherished every single moment in Rhett’s life. Celebrating Rhett turning ONE today and feeling lucky to be his mommy. I love you sweet boy!
I was thrilled to pieces when Savannah Magazine approached me about their new Made in Savannah feature.
You can check out the article here. Following the article, they have released a beautiful documentary by Juwan Platt telling my story.
As the standards of luxury are being broadly redefined by global economic forces and reshaped by self expression, Savannah magazine stepped inside the local ateliers of fine artisans who handcraft high-end, one-of-a-kind, pieces that are made in Savannah with integrity and sold with love.
Here, we introduce you to one of those artisans—custom stationer Emily J. McCarthy of Emma J Design.

The season is finally here! More than ever, we all need to remember to be joyful in our everyday lives. With the stress of holiday shopping, party preparation and the countdown to the big day, we sometimes get carried away with our to-dos instead of focusing on the reason for the season. I designed this peppy iPhone wallpaper for you to download and keep a daily reminder of being joyful throughout the holidays. Feel free to share with others!
To download, click here for iPhone 5 and here for iPhone 4. Save the photo to your camera roll, then set as your wallpaper. Enjoy and Merry Christmas!
